Senior Front-End Developer

Full-time at Geckoboard
in London, UK

At Geckoboard, we’re helping companies all around the world make use of their data by enabling them to easily build TV dashboards that align their teams on the things that matter most. We have a lot of interesting and creative work to do to shape their experiences and are looking for curious problem solvers to help us on this journey.

As our Senior Frontend Developer you will help shape all aspects of our product and pick up new skills along the way to share with our team and customers.

Right now you are probably an experienced Frontend Developer building and optimising single-page applications, (with great attention to detail). You’re passionate about working as part of a cross-functional team (of developers, designers, QA testers and product managers) and have already learnt from others through pair programming and peer review.

What are the team working on?

We’re doing a lot of interesting work building the UI that sits across our growing library of integrations and radically improving the onboarding experience for new users. We’ve also spent six weeks on delivering Geckoboard for low power devices by rendering react components as images (More about Geckoboard Lite: https://medium.com/geckoboard-under-the-hood/building-geckoboard-lite-e86ca367d0ee). We also recently launched a progressive web application to replace our native iOS application and allow us to release this to other platforms.

We’re excited by data visualisation, React, Redux, CSS Modules and frontend build tools (like Webpack). As our Senior Frontend Developer you will be able to work with these and help guide our stack in new directions.

You should apply if:

  • You have experience coaching and mentoring other developers
  • You’re able to collaborate on technical discussions in a positive and insightful way
  • You’ve had experience building a single-page application
  • You enjoy optimising frontend builds for performance
  • You develop software with a test-driven approach
  • You understand how to deliver software effectively
  • You are happy working in an Agile environment
